Rice Cookers to Save You Time – haverecipes.com

Im not sure if im in the wrong here, or if it could just be a big misunderstanding that my husband and I have had. We’ve had a rice cooker for a good 2 years, it fell off the top of the fridge this last summer and now it’s a bit banged up, but still works perfectly. I decided to buy another one on Amazon this past week. (I figured he could use the old one when he works on the construction sight as he hangs drywall for a living.) I got it a few days ago and it was only a 4 cup dry rice cooker (8 cups once cooked) and the steamer basket was too shallow making the lid crack any eggs I put in it to steam while making rice, so I ordered a larger one, put in for a return and cleaned up the cooker and put it back in the box. I put it back in the box yesterday while in the kitchen talking to my husband. We got the new, larger one yesterday and as I was talking to my husband, standing directly in front of him, he seen me take it out, clean it and place it on the counter to use today. Well, I work grave shift and was sleeping, got up and went right to the shower and then went to the kitchen.

My husband had removed the rice cooker from the box (the one I had specifically told him that I was going to return today at the drop off location.) I asked him why he was using the one I’m returning and he became very upset and wouldn’t answer. He had ended up putting the new one by the front door, not in the box. I asked him again why he was using the one I had specifically told him I was returning that day after I woke up. He then got upset, dumped out the rice that had just got done into a big bowl, washed out the pot and shoved it into the box. He then refused to talk to me the rest of the day.

I left to return the still hot rice cooker and all its components and decided to stay out a bit longer to let him cool down. The only thing he said to me after I got home was “I have food on the stove” that was it. I then wrapped presents for the kids and got ready for work before leaving. Am I TAH for getting upset that he decided to use the cooker I had just put in the box the night before and told him I was returning the next day? Or is he TAH? Or is this some big misunderstanding? To clarify, both of us have Autism and ADHD.
