We get along fine, have our disputes that get resolved quick.. but this particular situation has me rethinking our future. So I must ask AITA?
He has a ton of stuff, broken printer and electronics he’ll “one day fix”. More clothes than me and my daughter combined, papers from school he won’t go through. He’s a legit hoarder I’m sure. He also brought multiple large furniture items I have brought inside and made work. My house is FULL. He was keeping a storage unit at $90 a month for all the stuff he doesn’t need directly in the house. Well, he decided he doesn’t want that monthly payment and to attempt to fit it all in the house. I have expressed how much I don’t like clutter and how it messes with my adhd to have all this stuff about, so to compromise, I found a storage unit that was bigger for $90 a month, I’d put some of my storage in there as well and split the bill $45 each. No extra clutter, less monthly payment for him.
That was working for a few months until the storage facility went up on their cost to $100. Increasing our individual payment by $5.
My BF states he no longer wants to pay for a storage unit and brings MOST of his bins in the house. Stacked high against a wall, works for him, I can’t stand the way it looks. He still has workout equipment in the storage though and refuses to pay his $50 this month. So he brought more in and left me with the bill. I’m pretty mad about it, he isn’t budging on his stance either. What do yall think?
