so i (16F) still live at home, obviously, but its only about 2 years until i move out.
i have 2 younger brothers (Jack 11) and (liam 5), and my parents dont get either of them to do anything around the house, i can understand with liam but i was 7 when i started doing things around the house, i couldnt even reach the sink at that point.
Jack doesn’t really do much, as in last week i taught him how to load a dishwasher and then he got angry about having to do it and stormed off to watch tv, i mentioned it to my parents and they told me that its fine and to just do it myself.
he was asked to clean his room because our cousins were coming over for liams birthday, he ended up screaming at liam, calling him a rtrd, that he’s lazy, no one loves him, stupid, i__ot. in the end liam had to clean his and jacks room and my parents bought jack some chocolate for doing so well.
I love my brothers, i really do, but jack needs help. today my parents were saying how well behaved jack is, and how he is so helpful around the house, i ended up mentioning that he hasn’t got a clue how to do anything, and that he couldn’t even wipe his own ass until 2 years ago. which i know was quiet assholish of me, but i couldn’t listen to them constantly praise jack for things he doesnt do. i told them that without me ot them he’d be completely useless, or worse, dead within a month.
they told me that i was an a__hole, that hes only 11, but i dont see how that makes a difference, he needs to learn these things, i was just trying to tell them that they need to teach him these important things, sooner rather than later
