AITAH? My (30m) GF (28F) is mad because I protected my dog during a break-in

My (30m) GF (28f) is mad that I protected my dog during a break in
For context we’ve been together for 18 months, I’ve had my dog for 3 years.
My GF doesn’t live with me but stays over often, I live in a ground floor flat in UK. My GF woke me
In the middle of the night to say she could hear something, I said it’s probably the dog as dog doesn’t stay in bedroom when GF stays over. She said it can’t be as she had shut the dog in the living area before coming to bed, when she said this and I realised the noise was coming from the hallway, I got out of bed and rushed to the hallway outside my bedroom, panic set in and I worried for my dogs safety (she’s literally my baby). It turns out there was 2 men, one was still near the entrance to the flat and ran, the other was next to my living room door. I don’t remember much after this, but I know that I launched at him and hurt him. He couldn’t exit without getting past me, so I felt I had to fight.
The police are involved now and there’s actually a chance I’ll be prosecuted due to the laws in my country (UK) I think? The police said he’s in a pretty bad way in hospital but not life threatening? Anyway, that’s a seperate problem that I’ll have to deal with now.
My GF has brought up several times that she felt I left her alone and in danger to protect my dog, I tried to explain that it was a near instant reaction for me to check on the dog as I knew GF was safe, her argument is that whilst she was safe then, she was no longer safe when I left the room.
I’ve stuck by my side and frankly would do the same again, but now she’s ghosting me and I’m seriously starting to reconsider the relationship. I feel like i protected my GF, dog and my home. This is the first time something like this has happened to either of us.
