I have been talking to a guy on a dating app for a while and we finally made a date to meet up tonight.

He was in a different town for most of the day with family and asked if we could meet at 8:30. I’ve been sick for a while and I was hesitant to agree to a late night, but I didn’t want to wait longer than we already had to meet, so I agreed.

Around 730 tonight, he asks if we can push it to nine, as he was away longer than he thought. I said that was fine, but told him I was hoping to keep it a shorter night so as to get a good night of sleep (I keep getting sick because of work stress and try to rest on the weekends).
I plan accordingly and get in my car to arrive there a couple minutes after nine. When I start my car, I get a message from him saying he will be there 915 at the latest. I tell him that I am planning to leave by 10, so he knows that our time it will be increasingly more limited together.
I get to the meeting point and I’m sitting there waiting and tell him where I’m sitting. At 915 he tells me that he got “held up“ and that he will be leaving in five minutes. At that point, I tell him to just forget it, as I don’t want to be sitting there waiting for him for at least another 15 minutes. He apologizes, and I proceed to unmatch him.
While he did apologize, what he did felt rude to me. If I stay true to my sense of worth and value, it seems pretty ridiculous for me to put my evening on hold, including sitting for who knows how long waiting for him, for someone who doesn’t seem to even consider me as a priority?
AITA?
