I sat in my seat at thanksgiving and blocked my bf view of the tv.
I f39 spent days cleaning and preparing everything for thanksgiving. (A little back story)My bf 46 did not lift a finger. Actually made things harder for me instead of helping. We have 2 kids 6 and 14. They had half days at school m-w and a parent teacher conference on Tue night. I work and had to rearrange my schedule and use sick time to be home for them each day.
My bf was going to get my list of things needed for thanksgiving dinner, he waited till the Monday before to do it. When I sent him the list he was mad about the amounts of potatoes and carrots I needed. Yelled at me over 15 dollars he would have to spend that he claimed I did not need. I was making the same recipes from the previous year with the same number of people. So I knew I need what I put on the list. He argued and got mad to the point he refused to go.
So after getting the kids on Tuesday I faced the overwhelming amount of people on the grocery store with my 6 year old. I got what I needed. Then another argument tue night over me asking him to remove the turkey neck and other things. It grosses me out but I did it after he yelled and refused then left to hang out with his friends. I spent the day cooking and preparing.
Thanksgiving comes, my sisters and nephew are over and we eat.
I get up to prepare dessert and serve everyone. I placed mine on the table where I had been sitting and got up because the kids needed stuff. Came back and sat down to be yelled at by my bf, in front of my sisters because I was blocking his view. One sister gave me a look while the other suggested that if he leaned two inches to the left he could see perfectly. Nope he claimed I’m an ahole and need to move making a big scene. I eventually gave up and just moved but I feel like after everything the least he could do was let me sit in my seat to eat. I aita for not just moving when he told me too. He is still pissed 5 days later
