AITA- I have a friend visiting for Christmas/New Year and I don’t feel like they are respecting my home.
I live in a warmer climate where weather has been in the low to mid 70s, it’s been beautiful! The friend continues to complain about how hot it is and this isn’t the time of year that we usually run AC, it’s great to have the windows open during the day!
In the evening, I’ll make sure that the house has cooled to 74° before going to bed and closing the windows because it’s cool at night (55-65°). I recommend that my friend open her bedroom windows but requested that she keeps the door closed so the heat doesn’t continuously run, I keep it on 70.
I’ve also offered an additional fan on top of the ceiling fan in the room, which she has declined.
I’ve requested this twice so far and every morning I wake up to the heat running and her door open.
I’m really just asking that they keep the bedroom door closed, is that asking too much?
I feel like I’ve offered all accommodations possible short of freezing and being uncomfortable in my own home.
