Am I the ahole for not attending my parents Christmas hours after finding out I had a miscarriage?

I Had a Miscarriage - Her View From Home

I went to the ER in the afternoon on Christmas Eve because I thought I had a miscarriage, turns out I was right, and after my husband and I went home and fell asleep almost instantly. Cut to the next day and my parents come to my grandparents house (where my husband and I are staying) and they hardly speak to us at all. That night we go to my parents to have Christmas with them and they hardly speak to us, my mom barely even looks in our general direction, so when we leave we obviously ask if everything is okay. Everything blew up from there. My mom said that we weren’t spending any time with them at all and was upset that we missed Christmas and she feels that since they bought tickets for us to come home (we live overseas) that we should spend all the time with them. Mind you Christmas Eve and half of Christmas was the first time that we had spent alone and I feel like we had every right to have alone time after everything. It’s turned into a huge argument and my husband is pissed at both of my parents for their behavior and seemingly being upset at how my miscarriage has inconvenienced them. We’re both to the point that we regret even coming to visit for Christmas in the first place and neither one of us want to see them any time soon.
