My husband has invited my step son, his wife and three children over for Xmas Eve.

They offered to buy the turkey': Man with 14 children tries to manipulate his ex-wife into hosting Christmas, but she refuses, hoping to spare her 9 and 11-year-old the heartache of meeting

Once the older children left home I started a tradition of prawns and salad for Xmas eve . I was a bit of a treat but also easy to enable me to cook, clean and wrap presents. It was supposed to be a quiet time for us to spend together. I wasn’t happy about him inviting others into this, not only does it mean it is another occasion I have to cater for and clean up after, it has increased the cost significantly.
This morning, Xmas eve, as we are planning to go out at 6am to get prawns, he tells me he is inviting his brother. I said no. He said I need to get over it. The backstory is that his brother has always been inappropriate towards me. After my now 19 year old was born he told me I needed to get back into shape and asked about my sex life with his brother. For reference I am a slight woman, I have never been overweight even after having children each time I came home in my pre maternity clothes. On other occasions he has started conversations about politics, when I’ve said I don’t discuss politics in public he went off his head. Another occasion when my children were younger her went off about the dog and threw a chair etc on Christmas Day, damaging our home and resulting in one of the children not coming out of her room all day. I did not want him around my children after that, but my husband always gives in and says “he is my brother…”A couple of years ago he had been drinking and made threats to me while standing over me. Since then my husband has honoured my wish not to have him over. This morning I get told I needed to get over it. I am anxious and angry. Am I the AH here?
