I had a baby with a guy I was seeing for 1 month. I had been dealing with infertility for many years was going to a clinic and everything prior with my ex.

I told him I was keeping the baby as I wasn’t sure if I would be given another chance. I gave him the option to be all in or all out. He all of a sudden wanted a dna test I said no problem at all but he’s in charge of paying for it since I knew he was for sure the father. After the baby was born and proven to be his he insisted he wanted involvement but would mainly not respond to texts, wasn’t visiting, wasn’t supporting the baby, nothing. My family pressured me to take him to court to get full custody and child support so I told him a few times that I would be doing that if he didn’t actually step up. I ended up having to take him to court he didn’t show up and they put his child support at a high amount. He continued to ignore me and our child that he only visited 3 times total after me and his sister pressured him to. The child support office took his license and everything and now he’s about to face jail time. He filed with the courts to reduce his support to try to avoid jail. He doesn’t want the responsibility of the child but still swears that he wants to be there I give him every chance to be but he just doesn’t show up. My response to his court papers was really brutal just totally outing him for his expensive lifestyle, cash jobs, etc. and that he hasn’t been paying support. AITA for keeping him on support when it’s ruining his life?
